About

Alain Doig has had a love of electronics since he was a kid - he was always pulling apart anything he could get his hands on. So for him, his career path was clear, from a very young age.

After gaining 7 years experience in the industry on some very high profile projects, he decided to start Cabled. His reason?

"I enjoyed what I was doing so much and this was the only way I could do it for more than 40 hours a week!"

Now with over 10 years of experience and a team of 10 specialist electricians, Cabled takes on all the specialist projects that no one else has the expertise to handle or the experience to problem solve and project manage.

This means for you that no matter what your project, we have the skills, the experience, the manpower and the understanding of what you need in order to get the job done quickly and with minimal effort from you.

Alain's focus and committment when it comes to his business sees him always looking for new and innovative approaches to challenges. He's a member of BNI, EO & Entourage to ensure the right type of growth for his business.

In close collaboration with industry peak body Master Electricians Australia, Cabled takes workplace safety and business management to the next level.

In addition to receiving mentoring and support during the development and deployment of our internal policies and procedures, our staff and workers actively make use of functionality never before seen in one single, holistic system. Our cloud technology is available on a number of platforms including desktop computers, laptops, tablets and smart phones.

As well as maintaining safety duties, we track, report and protect individual employees with a range of tools whilst in the field. A few of the key functions our staff use are:

  • Field Applications - staff can complete forms on-the-go
  • Risk Assessments - completed electrical assessment in the field
  • Induction videos, for new and existing staff
  • Toolbox Talks - hold meetings for our team and stay up to date by tracking their participation
  • Asset Management - keep track of business assets and calibration dates
Master Electricians Australia has been instrumental in assisting with the deployment of our safety systems, and we receive ongoing mentoring from MEA safety and technical staff. Our safety systems are externally audited and verified by CM3

One of the highlights for him during this time have been working in the country for a year doing high voltage and low voltage supplies to several farms, some spanning over 9km in length. Another highlight was working on the penguin parade project - not being able to use trucks to transport the lights in, posed an exciting challenge, solved by flying the lights in by helicopter.

Scott has a Diploma of aviation and has qualifications in conducting civil construction excavation operations (LE), traffic management & traffic control and first aid.

Scott loves aviation, going out for dinner, learning new things and spending time with friends and family.
